Fried Chicken

Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Steps:
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a large plastic bag. Shake to mix. Rinse chicken pieces in water, then place in bag with flour mixture. Shake until all pieces are coated.
- Place chicken in hot oil. Fry until golden brown and juices run clear. Drain on paper towels.
